What is biogel?
Biogel is an innovative soluble polymer product developed on the basis of natural plant components such as rubber, which provides it with high elasticity. The main purpose of biogel is to strengthen and improve the condition of the nail plate. Its unique formula promotes regeneration and stimulates natural nail growth.
This innovative material is ideal for all types of nails, especially those with thin, dry or lameness-prone nails. Biogel makes nails stronger, smoother and healthier, making them more well-groomed and attractive.
Benefits of Biogel for nails
✅ Smooths, strengthens and revitalises the natural nail plate, promoting healthy growth and giving the desired shape.
✅ This product is ideal for all types of nails: thin, dry, soft, long, damaged, short and deformed.
✅ The procedure of biogel application stands out for its cleanliness and absence of unpleasant odours, which makes it particularly pleasant and comfortable. Unlike acrylic, which is accompanied by the formation of a lot of dust and intense odour, biogel allows you to work in a safe and hygienic environment, which is important for both the master and the client.
✅ Biogel provides a natural look and does not add unnecessary thickness or unevenness during the regrowth process.
✅ The quick and easy application of the base coat with biogel takes only 15-20 minutes, reducing preparation time and ensuring effective results.
✅ Biogel opens up a world of possibilities for creativity on nails, allowing you to create unique designs, including even combinations with regular polish. You can use it to bring any idea to life, giving your nails style and individuality.
✅ Biogel does not depend on the menstrual cycle or pregnancy, which debunks many common misconceptions.
Disadvantages of biogel
✅ Biogel is an excellent choice for many people, as it has practically no contraindications. However, it is worth remembering the possibility of allergic reactions. Although such cases are extremely rare, sometimes the cause of allergies can be related not to the polymer itself, but to the additives used in the composition of the gel.
This can lead to a situation where one manufacturer's product is suitable, but a similar product from another manufacturer causes unwanted reactions such as redness, itching or even skin detachment. Often the allergic reaction is related to the ingredients used to remove the gel or to the dispersion layer getting on the cuticle.
✅ When using biogel to strengthen nails, some may notice that they are not as strong and hard as after a treatment with acrylics or regular gel. This may be because the thin layer of biogel may not provide enough support for the nails, which can eventually lead to nail brittleness.
✅ You'll have to go to the master twice a month for a second treatment. This is not very convenient, considering that with other materials you can do with 3-4 weeks.
✅ To keep the material in excellent condition, it is important to treat it with care. Prolonged contact with water, household chemicals and other aggressive products can reduce its durability. Especially products containing alcohol should be avoided, as they can negatively affect the biogel.
